A compound microscope is commonly used to view something in detail that you can’t see with the naked eye, such as bacteria or cells. They have higher optical resolutions and are best for inspecting small specimens that require high magnification.
Compound microscopes use multiple lenses and backlit slides to view transparent specimens at high magnifications.
Good for:
-Biology
-Scenarios where high magnification is required
-Viewing internal structures of cells
-Studying fixed or live cells, bacteria, plants, soil, or water samples.
*If you’d like to inspect or dissect objects that ARE visible to the naked eye, then you’ll want a stereo microscope.
